This groundbreaking initiative demonstrates Viettel’s capability to design, develop, and deploy end-to-end 5G solutions, covering 5G Core, 5G Transport, and 5G Radio Access—all developed and manufactured in-house.

Key Achievements in the Field Deployment Location: Vietnam Extensive Macro Network Deployment: Hundreds of macro 5G stations, including both 8T8R and Massive MIMO 32T32R, operating in NSA and SA modes First Large-Scale Qualcomm-Based Massive MIMO Deployment: Hundreds of sites equipped with thousands of advanced radios
2. Scaling Towards Nationwide 5G Expansion Building on the success of this trial, Viettel is set to scale its 5G ORAN deployment at an ambitious pace. Over the next several years, Viettel plans to roll out thousands of 5G BTS annually, accelerating Vietnam’s 5G adoption while reinforcing the country’s position as a technology leader in the global telecom landscape. This project not only showcases Viettel’s world-class R&D and manufacturing capabilities but also highlights its commitment to driving cost-efficient, high-performance, and flexible ORAN-based networks for the future.
